Charitable Work
The Wessex String Quartet can be found reguarly “busking” around Dorset raising money not only for themselves but for many charitable causes.
Regular locations include
Poole (Falkland Square)
Westbourne arcade
Bournemouth arcade
Wimborne (Outside the library)
Poole – Cherbourg
The quartet were please to be invited to play at the Poole – Cherbourg Twinning ceremony at St Peter’s Church Parkstone in September 2009. They then went on tour with the Young Persons Concert Orchestra To Cherbourg where they gave a performance of Schubert’s “Death and the Maiden” quartet amoungst others. Two of the quartet members also stood in as soloists on the tour.
